Baccarat is also known by the name of Punto Banco. Baccarat is easy to explain. A Shoe is used for holding and dealing cards in Baccarat. The shoe is held by Banco until Punto wins. The Punto player plays against the Banco (Banker) in Baccarat. The objective in Baccarat is to win a hand with nine points before your opponent wins. The Banker has a house advantage, so the casino collects five percent of Banco's Baccarat winnings. Baccarat is also known by the name of Punto Banco. Punto can place best on both Punto and Banco, but the Banker can only wager on Banco.
How to play
1) Punto and Banco get two cards each from the Baccarat dealer.
2) Compare the value of your two cards against your opponent's cards.
3) The Baccarat player that comes closest to 9 wins in Baccarat. If both tie with a score of nine, the cards are go back to the dealer for yet another round of card dealing.
4) When a hand of hand of 8 or 9 is dealt it is called a �Natural'.
5) In the case of a �Natural', no further cards are dealt. At times, the casino permits yet a third card to be dealt.
6) The player closest to 9 wins the hand in Baccarat.
Rules
1) In Baccarat all cards with a face value of 10 or more are useless.
2) Baccarat is indifferent to the suit of a card. 3) For determining the point value in Baccarat, the left digit is dropped. For example, when the total value of a player's cards 10,11 or 12 (or anything exceeding nine) the first digit is dropped and the player has 0, 1 or 2 points in that order.
